News [First Buddhist Council Meeting to be held in Kathmandu]
The First Buddhist Council (LBU Sabha) Meeting is going to be held on the 11th Shravan 2066 V.S. (26th July 2009 A.D.) under the chairmanship of Right Honorable Chancellor and Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal. The meeting will be attended by Pro-Chancellor of LBU and Education Minister Ram Chandra Kushabah. The meeting will be attended by 5 legislative members, 10 Buddhist scholars of the 5 development regions, 2 Vice Chancellors of senior Universities, Member, National Planning Commission (Education Sector), Chairman of University Grant Commission, Regional Administrator, District Development Committee Chairman, donors, Secretaries of Ministry of Education Ministry of Federal Affairs, Constituent Assembly, Parliamentary Management and Culture, distinguished monks and nuns and dignitaries of LBU as Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Dean.
The meeting is going to review the development of LBU, its financial and academic development, its master plan, organizational set up and other affairs related to LBU.
